Doubtful that it would be hugely different either way - IF what Nvidia says is in fact true and the 3070 is effectively the same card as a 2080Ti. Of course, the performance differences vary based. But if you check the game benchmarks and compare a 1080ti, 2070 and a 3060ti, the 30ti is faster (not using Raytracing or DLSS), then the 1080ti and the worst one is the 2070 (again not using Raytracing or DLSS).
